The Department of Justice and Community Safety (the department) is seeking a Performance and Planning Coordinator, to provide a critical role within Beechworth Correctional Centre.

The Beechworth Correctional Centre is a minimum-security facility with a focus on preparing individuals for release and successful reintegration back into society. It offers various working industries with the men given the opportunity to gain knowledge and skills that will effectively link them to employment on release. When not engaged in work, the men attend rehabilitative programs to address their offending behaviour, engage in education and visits whilst many also engage in recreation and community assistance programs.
About the Role
Reporting to the General Manager, the Performance and Planning Coordinator plays a key role in driving performance, planning and continuous improvement at Beechworth Correctional Centre. The role provides high-level reporting and analysis, interprets performance data, identifies emerging trends, and delivers practical recommendations to support strong performance against Service Delivery Outcomes.
The Performance and Planning Coordinator is also responsible for drafting, reviewing and updating policies and procedures in line with departmental priorities and reform activity, while ensuring effective consultation with relevant stakeholders.
The role also contributes to a range of project and planning activities, including coordinating business plans, risk assessments and action plans, monitoring progress, and supporting managers to deliver on agreed priorities.
In addition, the role supports procedural compliance activities through monitoring, reporting and follow-up on action plans and risk assessments, helping to strengthen accountability, consistency and operational performance across the centre.
