Your new role
This is an independent and newly defined position offering the opportunity to shape and lead key HR projects and initiatives from discovery through to implementation. It's an exciting period of change within the People Services Branch as part of People Strategy and Operations (PSO) Division, this role is critical to the successful delivery and implementation of HR projects and initiatives.
You will manage the People Services program of work including implementing established projects and process improvements, as well as lead cross-departmental initiatives aligned to broader organisational priorities. As a strategic partner to the Director, People Services, you will play a key role in shaping the future programs of work to improve the VPS People Experience at the Department of Education.
You will lead defined program of work, be a product owner for key HR systems and build future workforce capability through system and process improvement.
About you
You are an experienced HR professional with a background in change management and/or implementing project and process improvements within large complex HR environments. You are a clear and confident communicator who builds strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels, and you are comfortable navigating ambiguity to find practical and strategic solutions.
Agile and self-motivated, you can quickly absorb new information, work autonomously, and maximise the value of your engagement with senior leaders and operational teams.
Experience with ServiceNow, Springboard (PeopleScout), eduPay (PeopleSoft) or other HR systems and applications is highly regarded. A strong understanding of Victorian Public Sector HR policies, procedures and practices is highly desirable.
