People, Legal and Governance provides business enabling people, legal and corporate services functions, to drive a high-performance culture; timely and accessible legal advice and services; and to support integrated operations and portfolio wide programs.
About the role
As the People Insights and Data Analyst you'll support the delivery of high-quality workforce analytics and reporting that enable evidence-based decision-making across the Department.
Working under guidance, you'll apply foundational analytical and technical skills to collect, interpret, and present workforce data in a clear and meaningful way. You’ll assist in preparing accurate reports and dashboards, maintaining data quality and governance standards, and supporting projects that inform workforce planning and performance.
This role also provides valuable administrative and coordination support within the People Insights and Strategy Branch, helping to track workforce movements, monitor FTE changes, and maintain effective team operations.

You bring a solid foundation in data analysis, attention to detail, and strong organisational skills. You’re confident working with data tools such as Excel and Power BI, and you have a keen interest in workforce analytics. Collaborative, proactive, and eager to learn, you take pride in delivering accurate, meaningful insights that support better workforce decisions.
