About the Role

We're seeking an experienced People and Culture Business Partner to work closely with leaders, employees and volunteers, providing trusted, practical advice across a broad range of people matters. This role is critical in influencing decision making, supporting leaders and embedding people initiatives that enable operational success.
Supporting CFA's Southwest Victoria region, you'll build strong, collaborative relationships with key stakeholders, developing a deep understanding of regional priorities, workforce challenges and organisational objectives. You'll translate these insights into tailored people solutions aligned with CFA's People and Culture strategy.
Flexible work locations and work from home options are available. Regular travel across the Southwest region including Geelong North, Colac, Hamilton and Casterton is required with a CFA vehicle and accommodation provided. CFA Regions | CFA (Country Fire Authority)

About You
You'll bring tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Industrial Relations or Employment Law or a related discipline, with strong experience partnering in a large, complex organisation. Experience working with a volunteer workforce will be highly regarded.
As a trusted P&C Business Partner, you'll bring expertise in performance management, employee relations and complex case management. You'll use HR data and evidence-based insights to shape practical, fit for purpose people solutions across the employee lifecycle.
Your success will be underpinned by exceptional stakeholder management and negotiation skills, alongside a proven track record in HR and IR compliance, organisational development, change leadership, diversity and inclusion and learning initiatives – enabling you to manage risk while delivering sustainable outcomes.
