About the role:
Reporting to the People Systems & Reporting Lead, the People Analyst, is a senior member of the Employee Experience team responsible for People & Culture strategy, planning, risk management and business continuity, performance reporting, and project management. This is a senior role for an experienced workforce analyst that wants to contribute to the success of the EPA as it enters a new era of environmental protection in Victoria. Working closely with the People Systems & Reporting Lead, you will actively contribute to a positive organisational culture and achieve the highest standards of performance and integrity; fostering genuine partnerships across all levels of government, industry, and community to support the delivery of organisational outcomes.
In this role you will:
Lead the reporting function of the team and prepare data trends, dashboards, and documentsin the form of user guides, cases, user stories and functional specifications and act as a conduit for information between the senior executive committee and business process experts or divisional/branch support teams.
Prepare regular compliance reports for Enterprise Performance Management Office and work with People Leaders to improve understanding of People Reporting, accuracy and timeliness of data.
Partner with HR Business Partners and Divisional Support team to coordinate organisational performance reporting and evaluation; develop the processes and guidelines around status reporting, timeline and expectation management, dependency management, change control procedure, and document management
Provide leadership to the People & Culture branch to identify opportunities for continuous improvement in performance reporting methodologies and working closely with all teams within the branch to prepare reports and insights.
Skills and experience:
A relevant tertiary degree and/or post graduate qualifications in business analysis or business management or a related discipline is desirable.
Senior experience in an enterprise business intelligence and analysis function, preferably within Government.
Understanding in development of integrated reporting through Dynamics 365, SharePoint Online and Project Online.
Demonstrated experience in communicating data & insights and an understanding or experience in SQL and PowerBI.
