About the Role
The Payroll Lead reports to the Payroll Manager and plays a critical role in leading the accurate, timely, and compliant delivery of payroll services. The role provides operational leadership across day to day payroll activities, overseeing end to end payroll processing and acting as a key escalation point for complex payroll matters.
The incumbent provides expert guidance on payroll legislation, organisational policies, and best practice, ensuring high-quality outcomes and consistent service delivery. Through effective leadership, the Payroll Lead supports, mentors, and upskills payroll team members, fostering capability development and performance excellence.
The role drives continuous improvement by optimising payroll processes, supporting system enhancements, and contributing to strategic payroll initiatives. Working collaboratively with internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams, the Payroll Lead enables operational efficiency and the ongoing advancement of the payroll function.
