About the Role
The Payroll Advisor contributes towards accurate and timely payroll processing. The incumbent provides guidance on policy adherence and resolves complex payroll issues. Collaborating cross-functionally, they optimise procedures to deliver high-quality payroll solutions and services.
The team provides specialist payroll activities for multiple agencies associated with the Department of Education. These activities include administration services such as payroll reconciliation, superannuation and taxation. The team also provides payroll systems support for HR areas across the Department of Education and its associated agencies. The Payroll Advisor is expected to provide leadership and guidance for the Payroll Officers within the team.

The department plays an important system steward role by providing support, guidance, oversight and assurance across early childhood and school education systems, as well as directly providing school education and 50 new early learning centres.
