About the role
The primary role of the Patient Services Assistant, Linen Services, is to undertak the effective and efficient supply of linen to all Barwon Health facilities.
The role also undertakes a combination of cleaning & housekeeping, food & beverage, and transport & couriering support across the facility, in accordance with the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards, and Aged Care Accreditation Standards.
Key Responsibilities
Receive, check and manage incoming linen deliveries, ensuring accurate quantities and documentation.
Restock, pack and label ward trolleys with correct linen types and impress levels for each department.
Deliver and collect linen trolleys across wards, maintaining efficient rotation and storage processes.
Process patient laundry, including washing, drying and appropriate handling of personal items.
Coordinate special and individual linen orders with the laundry provider, ensuring accurate picking, packing and timely delivery.
What we’re looking for
Demonstrated basic verbal and written English communication skills.
Physical fitness to safely perform the inherent requirements of the role.
Ability to follow established routines, procedures and work methods accurately.
Proven ability to work effectively under routine supervision, both independently and within a team, and communicate respectfully with people from diverse backgrounds, including older persons.
