We are seeking an energetic, organised and child-focused OSHC Coordinator to lead our Before and After School Care and Holiday Program. The Coordinator will be responsible for planning engaging programs, ensuring regulatory compliance, supervising staff, and building strong relationships with children and families.
This role requires a professional who is working towards or has completed a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care and is passionate about creating a safe, inclusive and fun environment for school-aged children.
Hours of Operation
7:30am to 9:00am - School Terms
3:15pm to 6:00pm - School Terms
8:00am to 5:00pm - School Holiday Program
This job is advertised for the school terms only, additional hours will be paid for planning and working this program.
Pay and employment conditions will be determined based on qualifications and relevant experience, in alignment with the applicable award or school employment agreement. Hours can be negotiated for the right applicant.
Design and deliver a high-quality OSHC program aligned with the National Quality Framework (NQF), My Time Our Place (MTOP), and school values.
Prepare daily activity plans that promote children¿s wellbeing, creativity, social skills and independence.
Support children¿s participation through responsive, inclusive and child-led experiences.
Organise daily routines including breakfast, snacks, supervised play, homework support, and transition periods.
Lead, mentor and supervise OSHC educators, ensuring a positive and collaborative work environment.
Coordinate staff rosters, daily duties, and training needs.
Guide new staff and volunteers in best practice and service expectations.
Ensure children are supervised at all times in line with service policies and child safety standards.
Manage behaviour using positive behaviour guidance and restorative practices.
Support children with additional needs with sensitivity and in partnership with families and the school.
Respond to incidents, injuries and emergencies in line with first-aid training and service procedures.
Maintain accurate attendance records, enrolments, medical plans, incident reports and program documentation.
Ensure the OSHC service adheres to the Education and Care Services National Law & Regulations.
Assist with preparation for A&R (Assessment & Rating) and continuous quality improvement.
Manage budgets, ordering supplies, and maintaining OSHC equipment and resources.
Communicate regularly with families, school leadership and external stakeholders.
Uphold standards of hygiene, food safety, and safe food handling practices.
Conduct daily risk assessments and ensure all spaces are safe and hazard-free.
Implement emergency management procedures, drills and safety plans.
Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or actively working towards).
Current Working With Children Check (WWCC).
Current First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma certificates (HLTAID012 or willing to obtain).
Experience working with school-aged children in OSHC, childcare, recreation or education settings.
Strong organisational, leadership and communication skills.
Knowledge of MTOP, NQF, and National Regulations.
Experience coordinating an OSHC or children¿s program.
Understanding of additional needs support, behaviour guidance, and trauma-informed practice.
Ability to build strong, respectful family and community partnerships.
