The Role
The Oracle Finance and Procurement SME and Engagement Lead is responsible for providing functional oversight, improvement, and user support for the department's Oracle Cloud Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. This role ensures the system remains aligned with evolving policy and business requirements and drives strategic enhancements that create measurable business value. The ideal candidate will lead stakeholder engagement and build user capability through expert guidance and training, delivering outcomes that support the department's objectives.
Main Accountabilities
Provide functional oversight of the Oracle Cloud ERP system, including finance and procurement modules, monitoring departmental requirements and managing risks.
Lead system improvements, including maintenance updates, change impact assessments, evaluation of new Oracle releases, and maintaining the system development roadmap.
Develop user guidance materials and deliver training, while providing expert support for functional queries and service requests.
Build and sustain effective stakeholder relationships, represent the team at relevant forums, and lead change management activities to support system adoption.
The Team
This position is part of the Information Technology & Workplace Services Branch within the Corporate Services Group. The group delivers strategic, operational, and program support services including finance, procurement, IT, and workplace services, enabling the department to operate efficiently and effectively in support of Victoria's economic prosperity and participation goals. IT&WS oversees the delivery and governance of ICT and office accommodation services, ensuring alignment with business needs and end-user focus.
About You
You bring strong expertise in finance and procurement with proven experience in Oracle ERP Cloud finance and procurement modules. You have demonstrated ability to align systems with policy and business needs and to lead system improvements that deliver measurable benefits. Your experience in government finance and procurement processes, combined with excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, equips you to manage complex priorities and drive continuous improvement within a collaborative environment.
