The Department of Government Services (DGS) was established on 1 January 2023 to improve everyone's experience of doing business and interacting with the Victorian government. We bring important day-to-day services together in one department to make things easy and seamless for Victorians and businesses. We are doing this by connecting and digitising our systems and platforms across state and local government as well as streamlining our corporate and procurement services.
About the role
This role is responsible for managing and maintaining Oracle's PaaS (Platform as Service) cloud-based services such as Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), Integration (OIC), Autonomous Databases and Application Development platforms.
The role also covers the full spectrum of database administration responsibilities with a focus on management, performance, and availability of databases deployed on OCI. Working with Oracle architects, developers and functional experts, you will use your technical, business analysis and interpersonal skills to resolve issues, ensure business continuity and optimise tenancy costs.
The successful candidate will be an adaptable problem solver, comfortable using new approaches to solve problems and deliver continuous improvement. They will have a focus on organisational and customer outcomes and the ability to work collaboratively within a team and with stakeholders to develop and in-depth understanding of the business environment and its systems.
