About the role
The Western Health Ophthalmology unit is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and innovative Consultant to join our team in providing evidence based best practice to patients of the west. The role will include covering theatre lists, outpatient clinics and On Call within the unit.
Key responsibilities:
The successful applicant(s) will join an established team of Consultants, accredited and unaccredited Registrars and Residents who as a team, provide Secondary and Tertiary services to one of the fastest growing regions in Australia – a region with a projected growth of 33% in population over the next 15 years.
The unit provides a 24-hour service with a registrar and a consultant on-call. It is important that you have a flexible approach to team work particularly with respect to Elective and Emergency work.
The unit is supported by a Surgical Nurse Liaison who coordinate and oversee the management of the units elective booking lists.
