The Department of Justice and Community Safety is seeking a Supervisor to provide a critical role within Offender Services
About the Business Unit
The Melbourne Assessment Prison (MAP) is a maximum-security facility providing state-wide assessment and orientation services for all male prisoners received into the prison system and is located within the North West Metropolitan Area, Department of Justice. MAP consists of the prison, the custody facilities at the County, Supreme and Appeal Courts and holding cells at St Vincent's Hospital for prisoners requiring outpatient medical treatment.
The Offender Services Unit is responsible for health and prisoner support services together with the development and delivery of a range of personal development programs. The unit comprises offender services and recreation staff.
About the Role
Under direction of the Manager, The Offender Services Supervisor will be responsible for coordinating the range of programs delivered by members of the Offender Services team as well as overseeing and coordinating activities delivered by a variety of external contractors and community providers.
This position may require direct prisoner contact and may involve weekend and public holiday work
