Yuille Park Community College is seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to support student participation, engagement and wellbeing across the school. The Occupational Therapist works as part of the Allied Health and Wellbeing Team to provide specialist assessment, intervention and capacity building that enables students with diverse learning and sensory needs to access the curriculum.
Working within the school¿s Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) framework, the Occupational Therapist delivers targeted and intensive supports for students while strengthening inclusive classroom practices through collaboration with teachers and school staff.
The role involves working directly with students, supporting educators to implement practical strategies, and contributing to inclusive school environments that promote regulation, independence and engagement in learning.
A key component of the role includes supporting the effective implementation of sensory regulation strategies across the school, including the use of the school¿s dedicated sensory room and sensory supports for students requiring targeted regulation interventions.
Through strong collaboration, evidence-based practice and a commitment to inclusive education, the Occupational Therapist contributes to a culture of belonging, participation and high expectations for all students.
The Occupational Therapist works as part of the school¿s Allied Health and Wellbeing Team, contributing to coordinated support for students across the school. The team works collaboratively within a Multi-Tiered Systems of Support model, ensuring that supports range from universal classroom practices through to targeted and individual interventions for students requiring additional support.
Through this approach, the Occupational Therapist helps ensure that all students are able to access learning, regulate effectively and participate meaningfully in school life.
