Occupational Therapist
Occupational Therapists will inform classroom teams in areas of expertise. Occupational Therapists work collaboratively with classroom teams to develop, plan and implement a Child Centred educational program for students.
Occupational Therapists at Coburg Special Developmental School will be expected to:
Responsibilities
1. Appropriate occupational therapy assessments of students 5-18 years.
2. Planning and implementing appropriate programs to meet the needs of students.
3. Liaising with and counselling parents regarding their children's needs and remedial programs.
4. In service staff and parents on occupational therapy programs and initiatives.
5. Assessment and report writing for individual students for DI funding.
6. Attending appropriate meetings: Professional development, staff and team.
