We are seeking a Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) to lead 6SW – a 28-bed acute Nephrology and Endocrinology ward within Medical Services at The Royal Melbourne Hospital.
As the NUM, you will provide visible clinical and operational leadership, ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality, person-centred care while fostering a positive, engaged, and high-performing team culture.
Working closely with multidisciplinary colleagues, you will drive excellence in patient care, workforce development, quality improvement, and service performance.

You will have the opportunity to influence clinical practice, mentor and develop staff, lead service improvements, and contribute to strategic initiatives across Medical Services.
6SW is a specialist acute ward providing comprehensive care for patients with complex nephrology and endocrinology conditions. The ward delivers evidence-based care through a collaborative multidisciplinary model, with a strong focus on patient safety, clinical excellence, and person-centred outcomes.
As Nurse Unit Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading the ward's day-to-day operations, supporting patient flow, workforce capability, and continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring the service consistently delivers outstanding care and meets organisational performance objectives.
