Central Gippsland Health is seeking an experienced Nurse Unit Manager to provide strong clinical leadership and operational direction across our community nursing services.

About the roleOur community nursing team provides care in people’s homes and community settings across district nursing, palliative care and specialist nursing services. Their work supports people to manage complex health needs, remain independent at home and receive compassionate care at the end of life.
As Nurse Unit Manager, you will guide and support this experienced team, maintaining a strong focus on safe, high-quality and person-centred care.
You will oversee day-to-day operations, workforce planning, clinical governance and service performance, while building effective relationships across Central Gippsland Health and with community partners.
You’ll also have the opportunity to identify opportunities for improvement, turn good ideas into lasting change and help shape how community services are organised and delivered across the region.
We are looking for a leader who is visible, approachable and clear in their expectations. Someone who has the experience and resilience to navigate competing demands, address challenges constructively and bring people with them through change.
You will bringCurrent registration as a Registered Nurse.
Substantial clinical experience relevant to community nursing.
Proven experience leading teams, supporting staff development and managing performance.
Sound judgement in clinical governance, risk management and service operations.
The ability to use feedback and performance information to improve care and access.
Strong communication skills and a collaborative, steady approach to change.
