About the Role:
The Medical Imaging Department is seeking a Nuclear Medicine specialist to join our team in a Part Time ongoing basis (0.2 EFT). The successful applicant will be jointly responsible for provision of Nuclear Medicine services and will participate in the afterhours on-call roster for Nuclear Medicine, and department teaching. Flexible sessional arrangements may be considered taking into consideration the operational needs of the department.
The comprehensive range of primary to quaternary level paediatric imaging procedures performed will include some or all of the following: paediatric Nuclear Medicine including PET MR.
What you'll achieve:
Contributing to optimal care of patients of the Royal Children’s Hospital through the provision of high quality Nuclear Medicine services
Focus on providing compassionate care, minimising anxiety and suffering of the child and carers
Develop and maintain a high level of knowledge in the nominated specialist fields of paediatric Nuclear Medicine
Coordinate provision of Nuclear Medicine Services when allocated the role of team leader
Participate in departmental and RCH meetings, committees, teaching and research as allocated by the Director of Medical Imaging
Share the role with other Nuclear Medicine specialists of joint responsibility for the care of patients in the MID and the coordination of imaging services provided to patients referred to the RCH Medical Imaging department
