About the Role:
This role is for a casual Newborn Hearing Screener with the Victorian Infant Hearing Screening Program (VIHSP). The successful candidate will be employed as required by The Royal Children's Hospital to conduct newborn hearing screening in Heidelberg, Box Hill and Epping.
You will be responsible for conducting hearing screens on newborns in accordance with VIHSP protocols and procedures. You will communicate with parents in a sensitive and accurate manner, while maintaining thorough and timely documentation across multiple IT systems.
Classification for this position will be AO21 Health and Allied Services, Managers and Administrative Workers (Victorian Public Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement 2021 - 2025

The Victorian Infant Hearing Screening Program (VIHSP) is dedicated to early detection of hearing loss in newborns across Victoria, ensuring timely intervention and support for affected families. Operating within the Centre for Community Child Health, the program works closely with hospitals and healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality hearing screening services, contributing to the overall health and development of infants.
