About the role
We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Advanced Practice Physiotherapist to join our Adult Musculoskeletal team. We are particularly looking for a clinician who has experience in OAHKS or as an Emergency Department primary contact role, although we will consider all experienced Advanced Practice Clinicians. This is a Grade 3 temporary part time position (0.5 EFT) until the end of April 2026.
This position involves using your well consolidated skills and expertise to provide best care to the patients of the West, including assessment and management of acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions, fracture management, radiological ordering, and interpretation. The role, based on the applicant, may include shift and weekend shift work.
The Adult Advance Practice Musculoskeletal team offer a range of services including:
In addition, the physiotherapy team provides adult musculoskeletal physiotherapy outpatient services across three sites providing assessment and rehabilitation for orthopaedic and musculoskeletal conditions.
You will be part of the expanding Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy team who are dedicated to providing holistic patient-centered care, delivering excellent patient outcomes, and providing evidence-based practice. You will have the opportunity to provide leadership and strategic direction within the team and be involved in research and quality improvement activities, while working collaboratively with other senior clinicians. You will receive supervision from Grade 4 Physiotherapists and be well supported in developing your clinical, leadership, supervision and research skills. Grade 3 Physiotherapists at Western Health contribute to our Education and Training programs within the Physiotherapy service.
