Lavers Hill K¿12 College is seeking a highly motivated and collaborative teacher to undertake a dual role comprising 0.5 Mental Health and Wellbeing Leader (MHWL) and 0.5 Classroom Teacher.
This role is central to strengthening a whole-school, proactive approach to student wellbeing, with a strong focus on prevention, early intervention and building staff capability. The successful applicant will lead and support the implementation of consistent, evidence-informed practices across the College.
The classroom teaching component of this role will focus on the delivery of the College Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) curriculum, alongside the design and implementation of targeted small group intervention for students requiring additional support.
Delivery of the College SEL curriculum and targeted SEL intervention is a core and non-negotiable component of this position.
This role aligns with the Department of Education¿s Mental Health in Primary Schools initiative, supporting schools to implement a whole-school approach to mental health and wellbeing through prevention, early identification and intervention.

Teachers currently registered or eligible for registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching and qualified to teach and/or have demonstrated experience in the curriculum area(s) specified for the position.

This position combines a 0.5 Mental Health in Primary Schools leadership role with 0.5 classroom teaching responsibilities across the College.
