About the role
The Greater Geelong and Borough of Queenscliff (GGQ) Mental Health and Wellbeing Local is a consortium of Barwon Health, Wathaurong Aboriginal Cooperative, Wellways Australia and ermha365. Built on the Royal Commission's vision, it offers accessible, integrated support that starts with a simple question: "Welcome, how can we help?"
With Department of Health funding, the Local is expanding into the bushfire-affected Colac Otway region. As the Mental Health Clinician, you will provide assessment, therapy and recovery-focused care to consumers and families, working alongside consortium partners, peer workers and psychiatry.
Key Responsibilities
Complete intake, screening and risk assessments, and provide evidence-informed therapies
Develop care plans with consumers and carers, and coordinate care with partners
Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to service improvement
What We Are Looking For
An experienced mental health clinician passionate about recovery-oriented, trauma-informed community care. Experience in disaster recovery or AOD is highly regarded.
Qualifications in psychiatric nursing, OT, social work or psychology, with AHPRA registration (or AASW eligibility)
Strong clinical and risk assessment skills in a community setting
Current Victorian driver's licence
