Schools and Regional Services (SRS) offer central, regional, and local expertise to enhance learning and development outcomes, supported by a diverse and geographically dispersed workforce. It comprises 17 areas within 4 regions, backed by 5 central office divisions, all collaborating to deliver improved outcomes for early childhood services, schools, communities, and learners, in line with Education State commitments. SRS Regions serve as a bridge between the central office, schools, and service providers, ensuring smooth transitions for learners and achieving the department's ambitious targets. Each region includes divisions specialising in school performance, student wellbeing and early childhood support, working with area-based teams to tailor local interventions and practices. The 17 areas provide crucial insights into local trends and issues, facilitating effective policy and program development and driving child and learner outcomes across all services and programs.
About the Role
This role will provide leadership, advice and support to Area-based teams and service providers for a range of partnership and school improvement projects designed to ensure effective pathways and transitions for young learners and vulnerable children 0-18. The position requires the development of effective relationships with regional area teams, central DE teams, Local Learning and Employment Networks, Navigator service providers, registered training providers, early childhood services, schools, and higher education providers.
This role will work closely with the Senior Transitions Officer, Youth Programs Officers, Senior Regional Pathways Officer, Senior Program Advisor (VELCI), Program Advisor (Student Insight), Navigator Coordinators and Navigator Practice Lead to ensure regional and state-wide consistency and the provision of high-quality support and information related to pathways and transitions for children and young people 0-18. The role will also provide advice to Area teams, schools and other service providers regarding collaborative relationships, networks and partnerships that improve cooperation and system integration and enhance learning and development outcomes, including strategic planning and quality assurance for re-engagement programs.
This role is located in the Youth Pathways and Transitions Unit, School Performance Division, South Eastern Victoria Region, SRS.

Qualifications and Experience
Essential: Relevant tertiary qualification, preferably in education.
The successful applicant will be required to provide a current Working with Children Check.
