Manager Tourism Infrastructure Programs
The Role
Reporting to the Director, Tourism Infrastructure and Camps, the Manager Tourism Infrastructure Programs is responsible for leading a team that strategises, develops and implements tourism infrastructure planning and construction investment programs. The role oversees internal and external partnerships that leverage collaborative investment opportunities and ensure best practice tourism infrastructure investment program administration and development.
The position provides influential advice to Ministers, departmental senior management and key stakeholders on infrastructure investment policy and development issues. The successful candidate will bring experience in managing complex tourism infrastructure investment programs and projects, strong project management capability and the ability to work collaboratively across government and industry to support the successful delivery of infrastructure projects.
Main Accountabilities
The Team
The position of Manager Tourism Infrastructure Programs forms part of the Professional Sport and Tourism Infrastructure branch within the Sport and Experience Economy Group.
The Sport and Experience Economy Group delivers programs and initiatives that support positive experiences and community connection through sport, tourism, events and outdoor recreation. The Group strengthens Victoria's reputation as a leader in sport and tourism while delivering economic, social and health benefits across the state through infrastructure investment, major events and sector development initiatives.
About You
You will bring demonstrated experience in developing, managing and administering complex tourism infrastructure investment programs and initiatives, together with a strong understanding of government program management, procurement, governance, risk and probity requirements.
You will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare high-quality briefs, reports and stakeholder communications, while confidently engaging with a range of audiences and building trusted relationships across government and industry.
You will also demonstrate strong people leadership capability, including experience developing and motivating high-performing teams, managing performance and supporting staff development to achieve organisational objectives.
