The Manager, Strategy, Risk & Spatial Services will lead the development of regional forest and fire management strategies, under the oversight and coordination of FFOD State.
The Manager, Strategy, Risk and Spatial Services will also lead a diverse team to facilitate the operationalisation of state and regional strategies into operational and tactical plans through the provision of high-quality landscape risk services, GIS products and desktop-based values assessment to support end-to end-planning.
The Manager, Strategy, Risk and Spatial Services will also lead the team to provide risk outputs to the broader sector and other stakeholders to support cross-tenure consideration and understanding of bushfire and forest management and work closely with monitoring and evaluation services within the Policy & Planning Division to ensure robust and transparent monitoring and reporting of DEECA's forest and fire management service delivery, to support adaptive management and continuous improvement.

This is a fixed term position available until 21 August 2026. The work location for this position is flexible within Hume Region with hybrid work arrangements available.
