The Role
The Manager, Strategy and Insights will lead a high-performing team responsible for strategic project management, data analysis, technical solution development, budget oversight, monitoring and reporting across Apprenticeships Victoria. Providing strategic leadership, expert advice and clear direction, you will manage the team's operations, resources and performance to deliver high-quality analytical and technical functions that support the broader Branch.
As a member of the Apprenticeships Victoria leadership group, you will contribute to the Branch's strategic direction, lead key initiatives and projects, and foster a collaborative, high-performing and inclusive culture. You will bring strong people leadership, strategic planning and data analysis capabilities to identify emerging issues, provide evidence-based advice and drive effective resource management and continuous improvement.

The Team
The position of Manager, Strategy and Insights forms part of Apprenticeships Victoria within the Skills and TAFE group.
Skills and TAFE focuses on enabling Victorians to access the knowledge, skills and attributes they need to participate in today's workforce, prepare for future jobs and achieve their educational aspirations. Working in partnership with the Victorian Skills Authority, the group provides leadership and stewardship of a responsive, high-quality vocational education and training system.
Apprenticeships Victoria works with key partners across government, the Victorian Skills Authority, the Victorian Registration and Qualifications Authority and the Office of TAFE Coordination and Delivery to develop a pipeline of skilled workers for Victoria's priority industries. Its work spans apprenticeships and traineeship policy, strategy and reform, innovative program design, service delivery, performance monitoring, industry engagement and initiatives to improve participation and retention.
About You
You are an ethical and inclusive leader who empowers people to perform at their best, builds team capability and fosters a high-performance culture. You bring strong strategic planning skills, translating organisational priorities into operational and team plans while providing subject matter expertise and supporting the development of others. You can manage complex stakeholder needs, develop innovative solutions and use data and systems thinking to identify opportunities for improvement and deliver meaningful outcomes.
A relevant tertiary qualification is desirable.
