An opportunity exists to join a key role in the Operations and Governance Division's leadership team, as the Manager of the School Operations and Governance Unit. It is a dynamic and interesting role, with a range of responsibilities.
The Manager leads a large team of approximately 10 staff, overseeing a significant service delivery function (the provision of advice to schools and other stakeholders on the application of a range of 25 operational policies, including on complex school council governance matters).
This is balanced with a sizeable program of policy reform projects, including 2 recommendations from the Independent Review of administrative and compliance activities in Victorian government schools.
The ideal candidate will be highly experienced in managing a large team, have strong skills in project management and delivery, capability and experience relating to development of policy options and advice to government and senior executives, and the ability to make a positive contribution to the division's leadership team and culture.
