About the Department
The department provides a wide range of learning and development support and services.
The department provides policy leadership, plans for the future of education in Victoria and leads key cross-sector collaboration. The department plays an important system steward role by providing support, guidance, oversight and assurance across early childhood and school education systems, as well as directly providing school education and 50 new early learning centres.
About the Division
Wellbeing, Health and Engagement Division leads the department's efforts to support student wellbeing, safety, health, engagement and inclusion. WHED provides policy advice, delivers initiatives, programs and training, supports schools and works in collaboration with partners across the education system and community sector to create positive outcomes for students.
About the Role
The Program Manager is responsible for overseeing departmental programs and initiatives that support the health and wellbeing of students in Victorian government schools.
Programs include the Doctors in Secondary Schools initiative, School Care Program, Medical Intervention Support and in partnership with the Department of Education's regional and area based teams, the Primary and Secondary School Nursing program and Schools in Hospitals.
You will provide expert program management and project delivery advice on school health programs, lead and manage strategic projects within the portfolio and manage the staff and operations of the School Health Programs and Services team.
