About the role:
The Manager, Research Strategy and Clinical Trials leads the delivery of key state‑supported research and clinical trials functions within Safer Care Victoria. The role strengthens systems, partnerships and capability across the Victorian health system, supporting the integration of research into healthcare and enabling high‑quality, ethically sound and governance‑compliant practice.
The position leads a multidisciplinary team delivering statewide services including research governance and ethics facilitation, translational research programs, and clinical quality registry support.
The role plays a central part in advancing state and national reform priorities and strengthening cross‑system collaboration, supporting improved patient outcomes and positioning Victoria as a leader in clinical trials and research

About you:
To perform this role advanced knowledge of health and medical research, ethics and governance frameworks, and translational research, particularly within the Victorian and national landscape.
A key component of this role is change management expertise, particularly in leading the implementation of new systems and ways of working that support systems integration. This includes guiding teams through transitions, embedding new digital platforms and governance structures.
Expertise in building and sustaining networks will be viewed favourably including the ability to foster strategic partnerships across health services, academic institutions, and government bodies to drive collaborative innovation.
