About Us:
Gaming and Liquor (G&L) advises the Minister for Casino, Gaming & Liquor Regulation on the development and implementation of liquor and gambling legislation and regulation, and on current and emerging gambling and liquor-related issues.
The business unit is responsible for delivering and further developing the Victorian Government's strategic response to liquor and gambling issues and for developing and implementing the government's policy on the various gambling licensing processes. It is the primary government point of reference for industry, community and government on liquor and gaming issues.
About the Role:
The Manager, Research and Evaluation leads the Research and Evaluation team within the Knowledge, Research and Evaluation branch of G&L. Reporting to the Director and working collaboratively with the Manager, Knowledge, this leadership position plays a key role in building the research and evaluation evidence base to inform responses to gambling harm.
Applying a public health framework to the issue of gambling harm, the role supports the Director, Knowledge, Research and Evaluation and Executive Director to develop, apply and distil the evidence base to contribute to a range of strategic matters and projects across the business unit and portfolio.
