As the Manager, Program and Business Integration you will manage a wide range of strategic coordination and project management services to support the development and delivery of complex programs across policy, legislative and/or regulatory change associated with Victoria' compensation, dangerous goods and occupational health and safety laws.
The role supports Legislation, Policy and Information Services (LPIS) to ensure that allocated projects are developed to schedule and delivered on time and budget, and includes coordinating the delivery of multiple work streams across teams within LPIS. The role requires extensive collaboration with WorkSafe's business areas to create awareness for optimal change adoption and to support oversight of business loading requirements and implement strategies for monitoring ongoing compliance with amended legislation.
Key accountabilities
- Provide effective leadership, collaboration and high level advice both operationally and strategically to support the LPIS Director and management team meet Divisional objectives relating to statutory reform initiatives and their implementation via changes to business requirements.
- Planning, monitoring and supporting management in the delivery of complex WorkSafe and/or government initiated policy and legislative reform, statutory reform projects to time, cost, scope and quality, within clear project management parameters including government policies.
- Manage the design, development and implementation of structured systems, governance arrangements, to engage accountable business owners and develop an internal framework including policies and procedure.
- Manage, lead and coordinate, or provide secretariat functions for relevant project working groups, Governance and/or Steering Committees.
- Develop and review of reporting materials, including preparation of risk and issue reports.
- Monitor progress against implementation requirements and schedules.

You will have demonstrated experience operating in large and complex organisations along with a strong ability to be flexible and adaptable whilst having a collaborative approach and mindset.

In addition you will have a demonstrated use of strong project management methodology, including an agile approach to planning and delivery along with an understanding of change management principles.
Additionally, you will possess the following skills and experience:
- You have a sound understating and knowledge of WorkSafe's business processes, as well as government and legislative requirements.
- Demonstrated track record of successfully delivering large complex projects in government including legislative and regulatory change projects to schedule and budget.
- Demonstrated experience in managing medium to large scale and/or multi-faceted projects involving legislative and/or regulatory reform within government or public sector agencies
- Highly developed writing skills, including the ability to prepare concise briefing documents, high level reports and communications to internal and external stakeholders
- Experience in managing the implementation of legislative and regulatory reforms, including the development of operational and information products and IT system solutions
