The Department of Justice and Community Safety (the department) is seeking a Manager, Professional Practice to provide a critical role at Corrections Victoria.

About the Role
The MPP role sits within the prison leadership group and will contribute to the strategic direction and operational leadership of the facility. This will include leading the implementation of the Professional Practice Model.
Working across both operational and strategic settings, the role drives the integration of best-practice approaches aligned with the Correctional Practice Framework (CPF). Through targeted professional development, reflective learning, and continuous practice improvement initiatives, the MMP role strengthens correctional standards, supports staff wellbeing and decision making, and contributes to safe, consistent environments and improved outcomes for people in custody.
The MPP role provides specialist practice leadership across the prison, strengthening the quality and effectiveness of correctional engagement and management of people in our care. The role supports custodial staff through their expert advice, coaching, and case consultation, while leading initiatives that embed contemporary correctional practice. In doing so, the MPP plays a key role in developing a positive prison culture focused on professional and contemporary correctional practice.
