We’re looking for a strategic, people-centred and technically strong Manager, Product Operations to lead the delivery, optimisation and ongoing management of WorkSafe’s technology products. In this pivotal leadership role, you will oversee the full product lifecycle — from development through to operations — ensuring our technology products are efficient, sustainable and aligned with WorkSafe’s organisational strategy.
You will apply a DevSecOps approach to streamline processes, uplift service delivery, and ensure our products continue to meet customer and organisational needs. With responsibility for product operations, service delivery and continuous improvement, you’ll shape how our technology products evolve and perform.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing strategic thinking with operational excellence, and who thrives in a complex, high-impact environment.
Key accountabilities include:
- Lead the full product lifecycle, adopting modern product development practices to deliver effective, user-centred technology solutions.
- Inspire, coach and develop high-performing cross-functional teams, fostering a culture of trust, inclusion, accountability and continuous improvement.
- Oversee WorkSafe's product and services portfolio, ensuring alignment with organisational priorities and delivery of customer and user value.
- Monitor service delivery performance and implement actions to maintain or enhance service levels.
- Establish and maintain operational methods, procedures and service delivery standards to support high-quality, sustainable technology products.
- Develop organisational policies, standards and guidelines for software development, refactoring and release management.
About you
You are an experienced technology leader with a strong product mindset and a passion for improving how organisations build, run and evolve digital products. You know how to bring people together, influence at all levels and deliver outcomes in complex, regulated environments.
You will also bring:
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role delivering strategically aligned technology solutions within agile squads.
- Demonstrated success designing and deploying CI/CD pipelines and modern DevSecOps capabilities.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop high-performing teams.
- Experience operating in complex regulatory environments (government, insurance, health or similar).
- Highly developed communication, conceptual and analytical skills.
- Strong stakeholder engagement capability, including acting as a trusted advisor to senior leaders.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications (post-graduate desirable).
