About the Department
The VCAA is a statutory body responsible to the Victorian Minister for Education, serving both government and non-government schools. In this context, the VCAA is responsible for developing high-quality curriculum and assessment products and services.
The VCAA is a registered foundational and senior secondary awarding body with the Victorian Registration and Qualifications Authority (VRQA). As part of its functions, the VCAA develops policies, criteria and standards for:
The VCAA develops strong relationships with the government, Independent and Catholic school sector, other national and interstate curriculum authorities, academics in the field, teacher/subject associations and, most importantly, with Victorian educators.
All VCAA employees are expected to perform their duties in accordance with relevant legislation, governance requirements, policies and procedures, safety obligations, the Code of Conduct for Victorian public sector employees, and the Victorian Public Sector Values.

About the Division
The Office of the CEO provides key organisational support across the VCAA and coordinates a number of critical strategic and operational business processes.
In three clear teams, the OCEO provides executive support to the CEO and Deputy CEO, oversees People Strategy and Culture and oversees the organisational Planning, Performance and Governance.
About the Role
The Manager, Planning Performance and Governance is responsible for developing and driving VCAA strategic initiatives. This role plays a central part in shaping the long-term vision of the VCAA, as well as its overarching objectives. The incumbent will be responsible for a dynamic, responsive and cross-functional team, who will provide advice, project management and stakeholder engagement to enable the achievement of strategic objectives.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience
Demonstrated experience as a Board Secretary and/or senior governance secretariat manager is ess ential.
Detailed working experience within a Government Senior Executive office is highly desirable.
