The Manager Planning and Mitigation leads the Department’s emergency management planning cycle, ensuring policies, plans and capabilities are aligned with statewide requirements and support a resilient transport system. The role works closely with government and industry partners to drive risk-reduction initiatives, particularly in bushfire management, while providing high-level advice on preparedness and the Department’s ability to meet its obligations. Success depends on strong strategic oversight, effective collaboration and the ability to represent the Department across complex, multi-agency environments.
