Manager, Performance
The Role
The Manager, Performance plays a pivotal role within the Pathways and Workforce Unit, leading how performance data, reporting and insights drive strategic improvements across the training system. Reporting to the Director, Pathways and Workforce, the role oversees a team responsible for collecting, analysing and translating performance data into meaningful insights that inform policy development, program delivery and strategic decision-making.
Main accountabilities
The Team
The position of Manager, Performance forms part of the Adult, Community and Further Education, Pathways and Workforce Branch within the Skills and TAFE Group.
The Branch brings together practical linkages between pre-accredited learning and pathways to further training and workforce participation. It leads strategy, investment and performance monitoring for pre-accredited training in Victoria, provides expert advice across the Skills and TAFE portfolio and works collaboratively across government, industry and education sectors to support inclusive and responsive workforce outcomes.
About You
You are an experienced leader with strong analytical, strategic and stakeholder engagement skills. You bring experience in performance reporting, monitoring or evaluation and can translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for a range of audiences. You have a future-focused mindset, can drive innovation and continuous improvement, and are confident building relationships at senior levels to influence outcomes. You are comfortable working in complex environments, adapting to change and leading teams to deliver high-quality, evidence-based outcomes that support organisational priorities.
