The Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority (VCAA) is a statutory body responsible to the Victorian Minister for Education, serving both government and non-government schools. We provide high quality curriculum, assessment and reporting for all Victorian students birth to 18 years.
An exciting opportunity exists to join the Corporate Division in the HR Unit for an ongoing full-time position.
The Corporate Services Division is responsible for providing information services to the community and supporting the VCAA in assurance and improvement, communications, finance, human resources, technology infrastructure and procurement.
As the key enablers of the operations of the VCAA, Corporate Services identifies whole-of-organisation risks and opportunities and continually improves to build stronger connections between people, systems and processes.
Role purpose
The Manager People Strategy and Conduct is responsible for leading and coordinating the organisation's strategic workforce planning and human resources policies. Their strategic insights will support the leadership team and drive best practices in people and culture management.
The role will lead the design, development and delivery of people and culture policy and initiatives aimed at enhancing workforce performance, employee engagement and workplace culture. The incumbent will work closely and collaboratively with senior management and business areas to design and deliver tailored and effective workforce strategies.
The Manager HR Policy and Conduct is also responsible for overseeing and coordinating investigations and the management of complaints. Working closely with the Department of Education, the Manager provides quality advice and support to key decision-makers, fostering informed choices and strategic actions.

Detailed working experience in conduct and integrity and proven record of achievement in driving change to achieve high performance and a positive organisational culture.
A relevant qualification in the legal profession is highly desirable
