The position provides advice and support for DEECA’s Ministers and the Secretary. The occupant manages a team that provide centralised support to the department to ensure the development of reliable and accurate services and expert advice on governance, processes, protocols and identify opportunities for performance improvement. The position provides oversight, planning and management of team responsibilities to embed quality assurance and best practice in processes to ensure ministerial requests, correspondence, briefings and parliamentary questions are managed in a timely manner.
Core activities of the role include leading a diverse team of staff engaged in a range of ministerial support functions including Possible Parliamentary Questions, Questions on Notice, Questions without Notice, Adjournment Debate Questions, Constituency Questions and Petitions. The occupant also manages the coordination of correspondence, briefings and campaign mail.

This is a fixed term position available until 30 September 2026. The work location for this position is Melbourne CBD with hybrid work arrangements available.
