Manager, Ministerial Coordination and Advice
The Role
Reporting to the Director, Government and Parliamentary Services, the Manager, Ministerial Coordination and Advice is responsible for providing specialist policy advice to the Secretary's Office, executives and senior staff on policy, guidelines and statutory obligations. The role leads the department's ministerial coordination functions, including oversight of parliamentary, cabinet, Public Accounts and Estimates Committee (PAEC) and correspondence processes.
The position plays a critical role in supporting the department during key activities such as Budget Estimates, caretaker periods, changes of government and ministerial reshuffles, and requires strong leadership, sound judgement and the ability to operate effectively in complex, high-pressure environments.

The Team
The position sits within the Strategy, Performance and Governance Branch in the Corporate Services Group.
The Branch focuses on uplifting departmental performance, governance and accountability by coordinating ministerial engagement, delivering strategic projects, providing audit and assurance support, and enabling high-quality reporting and business planning to support informed decision-making across the Department.

You bring strong knowledge and experience in project management and contemporary project delivery practices, alongside the ability to manage competing priorities, adapt to changing demands and remain focused and effective under pressure.
