The department provides policy leadership, plans for the future of education in Victoria and leads key cross-sector collaboration. The department plays an important system steward role by providing support, guidance, oversight and assurance across early childhood and school education systems, as well as directly providing school education and 50 new early learning centres.

About the Role
This is a fixed term position for 12 months
The Mental Health and Wellbeing Practice Manager will be responsible for leading the ongoing implementation and improvement of health, wellbeing and inclusion supports and workforce practices, with a specific focus on the Mental Health Practitioners initiative in secondary and specialist schools.
With line management of a small team including two Senior Project Officers and one Project Officer, the Manager provides program leadership, develops system-level supports in line with government/department priorities, manages funding, monitoring/reporting and evaluation, oversight of all MHP initiative guidance documentation, engagement with governance forums, senior executive, and ministers.
