About the role:
Parks Victoria is seeking an experienced, strategic and passionate People Leader to lead our Legal team and play a pivotal role in shaping the organisation's future. As we embark on significant organisational transformation and refocus on delivering core services, this role will ensure our legal, privacy, FOI and compliance functions are robust, responsive, and aligned with our mission to protect and enhance Victoria's remarkable parks and reserves.
In this key leadership position, you will provide strategic direction and operational oversight to a team delivering high-quality legal services across the organisation. You will manage the provision of legal advice, oversee litigation matters, and coordinate engagement with external legal providers. Your expertise will support the business to meet its statutory and regulatory obligations including FOI and privacy and become a trusted advisor across Parks Victoria.
About You:
You are an experienced lawyer with demonstrated leadership experience and strong stakeholder management skills with a solid understanding of public-sector governance. Your ability to think strategically, communicate with influence, and lead a high-performing team will be essential to your success in this role.

The Corporate Services Division leads the delivery of key enabling functions to support the place-based management and operations in parks, reserves, including designated local ports and waterways within Parks Victoria's diverse estate. The Division brings together organisational expertise in the delivery of corporate functions that work collectively in providing specialist advice; policies, procedures and business systems; and hands-on support to support Parks Victoria to efficiently and effectively deliver on-ground services in compliance with whole of government and legal requirements.
