About the role
Reporting and working closely with the Chief Technology Officer (Head of IT), you will inspire, lead and motivate a small team by setting clear visions to achieve their potential.
In this newly created role as the Manager, IT Infrastructure, you will be a key member of the Information Technology team and work in close partnership with peers across information technology, innovation and projects, business leaders and external technology providers.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the operation, monitoring, and optimisation of VMIA's infrastructure, hosted in a multi cloud tenancy (Azure / AWS)
- Apply structured approaches to incident, problem, and change management across
infrastructure services
- You priorities and provide expert level hands-on support for high-priority incidents and proactively address service risks or degradation
- Identify opportunities to automate infrastructure processes using PowerShell, Azure CLI, Terraform, (or equivalent tools).
- Lead the design, configuration, and deployment of infrastructure improvements.
- Contribute to the development of IT strategies and roadmaps that support organisational objectives. Identify opportunities for innovation and improvement in IT Infrastructure and Operations and function as a thought leader to the Chief Technology Officer (Head of IT).

What we are looking for
- Strong experience in systems administration, with at least 3 years in a leadership or senior-level role.
- Highly experienced and knowledge of Windows Server, Azure (IaaS, PaaS), Active Directory, Microsoft Entra, Microsoft Intune, Microsoft 365, and related technologies.
- A problem solver and proven experience in managing and resolving escalations.
- Exposure to cyber security, identity management, and infrastructure monitoring tools
- Excellent communicator, a visionary to inspire and lead.
Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification in Information Technology or a related field.
- Certifications in Microsoft Azure technologies - Azure Administrator (AZ-104) and/or Azure Solutions Architect (AZ-305).
- Industry based accreditation such as ITIL.

Salary Information
At VMIA, we offer competitive salaries based on the role's classification and your skills and experience. Typically, new employees start at the minimum of the salary range, however, consideration may be given to starting above the minimum of the band should you demonstrate extensive experience in a similar role or possess unique and desirable skills and capabilities required to perform the role.
