About the Role
An exciting opportunity exists for a highly self-motivated team player to join our Victorian Registration & Qualifications Authority VRQA team as Manager International. The position works collaboratively with other teams to ensure the effective regulation of non-government and government registered schools, school boarding premises and not-for-profit student exchange organisations. The role leads a small team with specific responsibility for the regulation of providers of courses to overseas students and additionally student exchanges.
The Manager International will lead the registration and re-registration programs for Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS) schools and SEOs and provide high level, strategic advice on international education to the Director School Regulation, Deputy CEO Schools, CEO and the VRQA Board and its committees. Additionally, the role works collaboratively with other Managers in the Schools Division to ensure the effective regulation of schools and school boarding premises in Victoria while minimising regulatory burden for schools.
The Manager International will establish and maintain excellent working relationships with key stakeholders including the Australian Department of Education, the Victorian Department of Education, Victorian Catholic Education Authority, Independent Schools Victoria, individual independent schools, and other State and Territory regulators.
The role leads a small team and will be responsible for working closely with external contracted reviewers.
Attributes
Ideally you will have experience working in a regulatory environment and an understanding of the ESOS Framework would be an advantage.
