An exciting opportunity exists for a talented and passionate individual to join the public Administration Group, Cabinet and Governance Branch as Manager, Intergovernmental at the Department of Premier and Cabinet.
The Cabinet and Governance Branch provides high-quality, strategic analysis and advice on public sector administration and workforce matters and the institutions of government, including the Office of the Governor, Parliament, Parliamentary Workplace Standards and Integrity Commission, the Victorian Public Sector Commission and the Office of the Chief Parliamentary Counsel.
Intergovernmental coordinates strategic policy advice on Victorian Government involvement in intergovernmental relations, with a strong focus on Victoria's intergovernmental agenda and policy reforms pursued through National Cabinet and associated Commonwealth-State fora. Our work also includes supporting the Premier as a member of the Council for the Australian Federation (CAF), coordinating input and advice on Victoria's strategic relationships with other Australian governments, and supporting policy to improve outcomes for Victorians through Australia's federation.
The Manager, Intergovernmental role requires a well-rounded understanding of the structure and functions of government and policy development is a must, together with the ability to manage a team to deliver high quality products and will see the ideal candidate presented with the opportunity to improve outcomes for Victorians through Australia's federal system.
