The Role
The Manager, Industry Development is responsible for driving industry growth across Victoria by leading the development and delivery of policy, programs and strategic initiatives. The role works across government and with key external partners to strengthen priority sectors, including manufacturing, and support economic development outcomes. You will lead stakeholder engagement across industry, academia and government, provide strategic advice to senior executives, and manage complex projects and programs. The ideal candidate is a capable or emerging leader with strong relationship management skills and a deep understanding of government industry development approaches.
Main Accountabilities
The Team
The position of Manager, Industry Development forms part of the Industry Development, Construction, Manufacturing and Talent Branch within the Industry, Trade and Investment Group.
The branch is responsible for delivering the Victorian Government's industry development agenda through policy development and program delivery that drives sustainable economic growth, workforce inclusion and industry capability across priority sectors.

You bring strong industry knowledge and a demonstrated ability to drive industry growth through policy and strategic initiatives. You are an effective leader with experience fostering collaborative, high-performing teams and building trusted relationships across government and industry. You have proven ability to negotiate, influence and achieve outcomes at senior levels, along with experience delivering complex, outcome-focused projects and programs.
