About the role:
The Manager, Health Service Performance leads the team responsible for coordinating and leading performance meetings and cross-departmental assessments, managing complex performance and governance issues, and driving strategic interventions, including monitoring activity-based funding to compare and price hospital services (NWAU), target-setting, and productivity initiatives across health services. The role requires a strong leader, capable of leading high quality health service engagement, enduring cross department buy-in and representation, and with the organisational nous to strategically set the department's performance management calendar.
The role involves developing effective relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders including health service executives and a range of program and policy areas within the department.
As a leadership position, the role involves managing multiple staff throughout the employment lifecycle, including performance, development, recruitment, and staff safety and wellbeing responsibilities. The role requires sound leadership and people management skills, as well as an ability to influence others to maximise efficiency and effectiveness of the Victorian health workforces and improve outcomes for Victorians.
