The Department of Justice and Community Safety (the department) is seeking a Manager, Government Business and ESO Reform to provide a critical role at Sector Performance and Group Strategy.
About the Business Unit
Emergency Management Victoria (EMV), within the Department of Justice and Community Safety, is responsible for the overall coordination of the emergency management system in Victoria. EMV drives the integration of policy, strategy, operational coordination, and planning across Victoria's emergency management sector, contributing to safer, more resilient communities. Our vision is to be a trusted leader of a strong and unified emergency management system that reduces the risk and impact of emergencies on Victorian communities.
EMV works closely with government and agencies across the emergency management portfolio. The organisation is led by the Deputy Secretary/ Chief Executive and Emergency Management Commissioner, Emergency Management Victoria and includes oversight of statutory entities and offices and the department's emergency management accountabilities.
About the Role
The Investment, Performance and Reform division is responsible for overseeing organisation planning, reform, sector investment, and performance monitoring of emergency management portfolio agencies to ensure that priorities are aligned with outcomes.
The Sector Performance and Group Strategy branch supports EMV in setting strategic directions and delivering priorities, monitoring and reporting on performance within the emergency services portfolio, coordinating and implementing the government's reform agenda and fulfilling core government functions. This includes strategic and business planning, risk management, business continuity, and government operations, as well as leading the development and delivery of complex reform programs and strategic advice in relation to the performance of emergency services organisations, and key entities within the emergency services sector.
