The Team
The Financial Frameworks team, Budget Strategy optimises public sector resource management systems to drive value for money for Victorians. The team is responsible for budget and financial management legislation and policy and providing advice on application and reform options.
The Gender Responsive Budgeting Unit sits within the Financial Frameworks team and works to embed gender impact analysis in the Government's budget decision-making processes and to ensure outcomes for women are considered as part of the budget decision-making process.
About the role
Gender Responsive Budgeting (GRB) was introduced in Victoria in 2022, placing Victoria ahead of other Australian jurisdictions at that time. The manager of the Gender Responsive Budgeting unit will oversee the continued implementation and ongoing development of GRB in Victoria, including contributing to the delivery of the annual budget.
