Manager, Funding Strategy and Finance
The Role

The successful candidate will have excellent analytical capability, strong financial acumen and is confident in providing complex budget management information simply to a range of audiences. You will be highly competent in funding and costing models and/or economic analysis within a government or other policy environment. Your ability to interpret data, model funding impacts and communicate insights clearly will be essential in supporting sound investment decisions and resource allocations.
In this role, you will lead a team delivering high-quality financial and funding analysis, collaborate with policy and program areas and contribute to whole-of-government budget processes. Through innovation and evidence-based thinking, you will help ensure funding frameworks are transparent, efficient, and aligned with strategic priorities—making a real impact on the effectiveness and sustainability of the training system.
The Team
The position of Manager, Funding Strategy and Finance forms a part of the Office of TAFE Coordination and Delivery within the Skills and TAFE group.
Skills and TAFE (S&T) focuses on enabling Victorians to access the knowledge, skills and attributes they need to participate in today's workforce, prepare for future jobs, and achieve their educational aspirations. The Office of TAFE Coordination and Delivery (OTCD) incorporating the TAFE Strategy, Systems and Tertiary Governance branch and the TAFE Performance, Finance and Infrastructure branch, plays a system leadership and management role for the Victorian TAFE Network (VTN) across Victoria.
