Important update on this role's location: please note, this position will initially be based at 530 Collins Street, Melbourne, before relocating to our principal office located at 465 Plummer Street, Port Melbourne in February 2026.
What you will be doing
Reporting directly to Senior Manager, Electoral Systems (Capability), the Manager, Electoral Systems (Personnel) or (Events) roles will be responsible for:
• Contributing to strategic and operational planning to achieve team and organisation goals.
• People-managing a small, high-performing team of systems administrators, advisors or coordinators to support operational delivery and positive work culture.
• Ensuring systems are fit-for-purpose, correctly configured and rolled-out
• providing system-based support to various election delivery teams
• Effectively engaging internal stakeholders to provide expert technical advice in the management and operationalisation of system changes.
What you will bring to the role
• Effective stakeholder engagement skills and demonstrated experience in building positive team culture and performance.
• Technical experience in administering and/or implementing a change process for an events-based or personnel-based system.
• Demonstrated ability making contributions to strategic planning, event planning, workforce planning, product roadmaps and issues management.
• Experience in leading the availability and readiness of an event-based or personnel-based system ensuring readiness according to set timelines.
• Commitment to the VEC's core values.
